Drone shot: Road bicycle on the Japan Sea Ororon Line, Hokkaido, northern Japan
Aerial shot taken by drone. Road bicycle (viewed from the side) moving along the Japan Sea Ororon Line. Ascend to get a long shot of the Ororon Line and the Japan Sea. Outline of Rishiri Island visible in the distance to the left. The Japan Sea Ororon Line is the nickname given to the roads, including Route 231 and Route 232, which stretch from Otaru to Wakkanai in Hokkaido for a distance of about 380 km. Ororon is alternative name in Japanese for the common guillemot (Uria aalge), which is found on Hokkaido's Te-uri Island. The Ororon Line follows the coastline, providing superb, sweeping views, making it a popular touring route.
